Americans will receive Social Security payments in March and April 2025, and some may qualify for an extra $967 per month through Supplemental Security Income (SSI).


With rising utility costs, these benefits can provide much-needed relief to cover electricity, gas, and water bills.

Who Gets Social Security Payments in March & April?

The Social Security Administration (SSA) will distribute payments based on birth dates:

  • March 12 – For those born between the 1st and 10th of any month.
  • March 19 – For those born between the 11th and 20th.
  • March 26 – For those born between the 21st and 31st.

Some retirees and disabled individuals could receive up to $5,180, depending on their work history.

Can You Get an Extra $967 in SSI?

In addition to Social Security benefits, SSI provides extra cash for those who qualify. You may be eligible if you:

  • Are 65 or older or have a qualifying disability.
  • Have limited income and resources.
  • Meet SSA eligibility guidelines.

The less income you have, the higher your SSI payment could be. If you earn too much, you may not qualify.
